Juiced Fuel was proud to sponsor the 56th Annual James Island Yacht Club King Mackerel & Inshore Tournament, an event that brought together Charleston’s boating and fishing community while raising funds and awareness for Pickle’s People, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting families facing childhood cancer.
Hosted by the James Island Yacht Club, the tournament is the oldest continuously running king mackerel tournament in the Charleston area and has become a longstanding tradition for anglers, local businesses, and families alike. This year’s event benefited Pickle’s People, an organization founded after Zach and Jamie Volousky’s daughter, Eliza Cate, was diagnosed with leukemia. Since its founding, Pickle’s People has donated more than $100,000 to MUSC for childhood cancer research while providing care packages and support to nearly 200 local families navigating a childhood cancer diagnosis.
As a sponsor, Juiced Fuel had the opportunity to connect with members of Charleston’s boating community, showcase its on-demand fuel delivery services, and support an organization making a meaningful impact across the Lowcountry.
“We’re honored to support an event that not only celebrates Charleston’s incredible boating community but also helps make a real difference for local families,” said Caroline McDavid, Co-Founder of Juiced Fuel. “Giving back is a core part of who we are, and we’re grateful to support Pickle’s People and the important work they do.”
The tournament featured a Captain’s Meeting, raffle, vendor showcase, live music, and a weekend of competitive offshore and inshore fishing, bringing together hundreds of participants in support of a great cause.
Community involvement is an important part of Juiced Fuel’s mission. Through partnerships with local organizations, boating events, nonprofits, and the Fuel Forward Foundation, Juiced Fuel is committed to serving customers while investing in the communities it calls home.
