Behind every strong brand is a story and behind Juiced Fuel is Korey McDavid, whose background in oil, gas, and energy isn’t just impressive. It’s the foundation for everything we’ve built.
This isn’t just a small business born out of curiosity or chance. Juiced Fuel exists because Korey knows fuel, how to source it, transport it, price it, and deliver it safely and efficiently. His career didn’t start in social media or marketing. It started in helicopters, pipelines, and the Gulf of Mexico.
Here’s how that experience shapes Juiced Fuel today.
From Army Aviation to Energy Operations
After graduating from Clemson University and being commissioned into the Army, Korey was selected to fly AH-64 Apache helicopters and served in Iraq from 2011–2012. The military wasn’t just a job, it was a deep education in logistics, operations, and leadership under pressure.
When he transitioned back to civilian life, those skills didn’t fade, they evolved.
ROV Piloting in the Gulf of Mexico
Korey began piloting ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) in offshore oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico. This work gave him a front-row seat to one of the most high-risk, high-reward environments in the energy sector. He learned the intricacies of oil and gas production, underwater infrastructure, and the logistical challenges of safely moving fuel products from deep beneath the ocean to the refineries onshore.
These weren’t textbook lessons, they were lived experiences.
Kinder Morgan & Terminal Management
Korey’s next step brought him to Kinder Morgan in Chicago, one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. There, he helped manage refined product terminals, massive fuel storage and distribution hubs that supply gas stations, airports, and commercial clients.
Eventually, he moved back to Charleston to manage a terminal locally, where he gained hands-on experience overseeing fuel handling, truck loading, pipeline scheduling, safety compliance, and emergency response.
In short: he was on the ground, managing millions of gallons of fuel a week.
MBA in Energy and the Spark of Juiced Fuel
Korey didn’t stop with hands-on knowledge. He went back to school and earned an MBA from the University of Oklahoma with a focus in energy, combining real-world experience with strategic business education.
That’s when the lightbulb moment happened.
He started thinking about how inefficient traditional fueling was for the average driver.
People were wasting time, losing productivity, and constantly putting off gas runs.
With the rise of convenience-based services and the gaps he had personally seen in the supply chain, he realized: there had to be a better way.
Juiced Fuel: The Result of Industry Know-How
Juiced Fuel wasn’t a trendy startup idea, it was the natural next step for someone who’d spent over a decade immersed in every angle of the energy sector.
Korey knew:
- Where to get fuel
- How to price it competitively
- How to handle it safely
- How to scale operations sustainably
And because he had seen how corporate systems worked, he knew how to build something better, leaner, more responsive, and more community-focused.
Why It Matters to You
When you’re trusting someone to deliver fuel to your car, your fleet, your boat, or your business, you want someone who knows what they’re doing.
Korey isn’t guessing. He’s not YouTubing how to hook up a fuel hose. He’s spent years doing this work at scale and took that knowledge to build a system that works. Whether for a single mom in Charleston or a future franchisee in Dallas.
Juiced Fuel isn’t just about fuel. It’s about expertise.
And Korey McDavid brings it in spades.
