A fictional story about running out of gas on the spookiest night of the year!
Halloween is supposed to be filled with frights and fun, but nothing could prepare me for the real horror I faced one fateful night. Dressed as a vampire with my friends, we were all set for a thrilling evening of haunted houses and candy. But as we got ready to leave, I glanced at my gas gauge—hovering on “E.”
“Don’t worry! There’s a gas station just up the road,” I assured them, trying to hide my anxiety.
When we arrived at “Ghoulish Gas,” the dimly lit station looked straight out of a horror movie, with flickering lights and eerie shadows. As I approached the first pump, I pressed the button, praying for it to work. Instead, the screen flashed “OUT OF SERVICE.” Panic set in.
“Uh, guys… this place is out of gas,” I said, feeling the dread creep in.
Frantically, we tried every pump, but they all echoed the same message. My friends and I exchanged worried glances as the reality sank in: we were stuck. Just as I started to lose hope, a skeleton-clad stranger pulled up and asked if we needed help.
“Yes, please!” I said. He revealed a friendly smile beneath the mask and offered us a gallon of gas he had just filled up with.
With just enough fuel, we thanked our mysterious savior and drove off, laughing at the absurdity of my Halloween nightmare.
